Currently we are looking for a Recruiter to join our team People & Culture Team.  

Job Duties Include:

  • Full Cycle Recruitment from Group Interviews, Completing Reference Checks, and Uniforming Employees.
  • Conducting Phone Interviews for sites throughout British Columbia.
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees.
  • Coordinate and implement 3rd party recruiting initiatives and collaboration with community partners.
  • Work with Operations Managers during recruitment planning meetings to establish strategy and profiles of right fit candidates for client sites.
  • Efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
  • Post openings with Internet sources, social media, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues and researching other creative ways to reach untapped markets through innovative thinking and marketing.
  • Coordinate campus recruiting initiatives.
  • Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
  • Develop working relationships within colleges/universities to aid in recruiting.
  • Give presentations at campuses, attend student group meetings, and increase post secondary awareness of the company before and after career fairs.
  • Manage the use of employment agencies and contact to keep a steady stream of candidates coming in to fill jobs
  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
  • Conduct pre-screening interviews, group interviews and placement meetings.
  • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in accordance with our ISO policy and regulations.
  • Conduct induction of the new employees to Operations team and to the Company values and policies and procedures.
  • Solve any queries the new employees might have about the company.
  • Ensures open two way communication regarding career development.
  • Manage retention rates by setting clear expectations, hiring under tailored parameters, and fostering an environment of trust and respect.
  • Any other related duties assigned by the Manager of People & Culture

Job Requirements:

  • Post Secondary Degree/Diploma or Equivalent Experience in HR
  • Full-cycle recruitment experience
  • CHRP designation would be considered an asset
  • Active member of the BC HRMA would be considered an asset
  • Class 5 Drivers License & Vehicle would be considered an asset
  • Must be comfortable using a computer and be able to complete 50 WPM
  • Must be able to work in a high pace environment
  • Must enjoy working with people
