A successful Project Manager will be responsible for managing, maintaining and improving all aspects of the delivery of quality services to the client in the identification and management of security and related risks (including emergency response planning) to ensure best practices, business resilience, and the protection of personnel, infrastructure, and equipment including information security issues.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Establish safety and security, goals, processes and plans in support of plant and corporate strategic directions both Securiguard and our clients.
  • Assist the client in the identification and management of security and related risks (including emergency response planning) to ensure best practices, business resilience, and the protection of personnel, infrastructure, and equipment including information security issues.
  • Ensure continued growth, development and support of each supervisor and security officer, ensuring that each member becomes a self-directed member of the team.
  • Assist in the provision of comprehensive, efficient, cost effective operational and tactical security service and strategic advice to our clients.
  • Attend regular operations meetings to table and discuss issues affecting the operational requirements in relation to the service delivery to team members and client.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the client and all stakeholders on site.
  • Serve as lead regarding investigations of significant threats and/or the loss or misappropriation of assets for clients/sites, employee discipline, and as directed by the Operations Manager.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a manager in an operational setting combined with or in addition to working in the security industry or law enforcement preferred. Relevant experience in an industrial setting is preferred. 
  • CPP, PSP designation (Preferred, but not required)
  • Post Secondary Education (Preferred, but not required)
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with a 'hands on', problem solving approach, able to remain calm under pressure and take control of incidents.
  • Self motivated; demonstrated ability to produce results while working independently. 
  • Proven ability to problem solve, plan, analyze, organize, exercise judgment, make effective decisions and effective use of delegation and empowerment are important assets to success in this position.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License
