Securiguard is currently looking for a Security Site Supervisor to join our team!

Job Summary

  • Supervise and lead a team of security professionals in a 24/7 office environment.
  • Daily communications and coordination with building operators and tenants.
  • Operation of the building management system, including managing access control, controlling elevator access, and conducting security investigations as required.

Job Duties

  • Provide top quality customer service to all guests and tenants of the building.
  • Train and mentor officers on site duties and protocols, as well as site conduct, deportment, reporting procedures, and company policy/procedures.
  • Coordinate operation of the building with building operations, tenants, and third parties.
  • Attend weekly building operations team meetings.
  • Respond to emergency or urgent site situations, evaluate and recommend or initiate appropriate action, secure the site as necessary, liaise/co-ordinate with applicable law, fire, medical or site officials, ensure that post orders are adhered to and confirm/ensure the safety of Securiguard personnel and our clients.
  • Review e-mails and check the pass on to plan the shift duties accordingly.
  • Review officer reports. All incidents are to be investigated by the supervisor, including the review of software logs and CCTV.
  • Assess site officer performance and initiate corrective/training action when required.
  • Supervisors are expected to present themselves at all times in a professional, courteous and well dressed manner, and may expect to be occasionally called upon to act as liaison between Account Managers and clients.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Security industry experience required. Previous supervisory experience/training preferred
  • Valid BC Security Worker Licence required.
  • OFA I, II or III an asset not required
  • Strong communicator with assertive interpersonal skills, sensitivity and team player are critical to success.
  • A positive, professional and enthusiastic attitude is an imperative in dealing with both Securiguard, clients, or other personnel
  • Demonstrated attributes in supervision, decision making, organizing, problem solving, analytical skill, interpersonal sensitivity and tolerance are required.
  • Moderate computer skills required. Advanced computer skills preferred.
  • Effective and professional written and oral skills are necessary to minimize communication errors or misunderstandings in a Field environment.
