Currently we are accepting applicants to join Access Control Office at Vancouver International Airport to process the clearance applications and other related paperwork.

Duties Include:

• Processing clearance applications for existing and new applicants
• Coordinating with different departments throughout YVR (AVOP, Parking, Key Locksmith, Maintenance, Engineering)
• Answering all telephone inquiries, responding to email and voicemail where applicable
• Maintaining a database of active employees consisting of computer files & paper files
• Performing all vehicle licensing for airside access, including submitting and issuing decals and verifying insurance documents
• Issuing visitor, special event passes and temporary passes
• Processing and coordinate the appeal process for denied applications
• Writing and sending all renewal letters and AVOP applications as per the approved process
• Performing all filing / file audits
• Issuing clearances and employee parking decals
• Performing all signing authority updates
• Completing RAIC return for other airports
• Updating national database for Lost/Stolen
• Various other duties as required

• Day shifts

Requirements:

• Valid Security License with the Province of British Columbia
• Organizational skills to assist multiple visitors at one time with various tasks
• Knowledge of basic computer programs and basic typing abilities
• Having a pleasant demeanor and the ability to work with various types of personalities
• Attention to detail to submit work or send communications without error
• Adaptability and flexibility to adjust priorities for whatever task is most important at any given time
• Ability to handle sensitive information
• Ability to Type 50 words per minute
• Valid Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
