Position Summary

As a Senior Operations Manager, you will be playing a vital role in achieving our exponential growth and driving forward our mission to make people feel safe. Your focus will be on establishing and nurturing partnerships by effectively managing all issues in your assigned account portfolio while ensuring a high level of service. You will be working closely with clients, the Securiguard team members, and internal operations, and will be the primary point of contact for client service, employee performance, and incident de-escalation. The team member in this role will report to the Vice President - Regional Operations, Western Canada.

This is a dynamic role, and we are seeking an experienced Manager with strong business acumen, a strategic mindset and demonstrated experience maintaining operational efficiencies on large scale projects.

What you would do:

  • Manages, monitors and reports on key performance indicators (including financial performance) for all aspects service delivery.
  • Manages the activities of the BC Interior branch offices daily, and acts as a resource and conduit of information for addressing operational issues and problem-solving; makes the final decision on appropriate course of action.
  • Foster a culture of positivity based on Securiguard' s values, mission, and vision statement, and inspire our employees to make a difference in someone's life every day
  • Coordinate with the Regional Recruitment team to ensure hiring objectives are in line with projections and expectations of the client and assist in maximizing Indigenous and local employment
  • Lead and address any account issues (i.e., risk assessments, incident reports, billing, etc.) and ensure any service failures are dealt with in a timely manner with action plans to address any non-compliance with key performance indicators and service agreements as a framework
  • Assist regional operations managers to identify operational efficiencies and cost controls to increase revenue and maximize profit
  • Coordinate with fleet management to ensure the leasing objectives are in line with projections and expectations of the client, that the maintenance program is being followed and that all vehicles have the required safety equipment
  • Work with regional operations managers to ensure each client site has the required equipment as outlined in the contract
  • Regularly meet with the client representatives to assess current services and their level of satisfaction; ensure all contract requirements are meeting or exceeding expectations, and forecast future client needs and suggests options for improvement on an ongoing basis
  • Foster a culture of health and safety by working with regional health, safety, and environment managers to ensure strict adherence to safety standards, policies, procedures, and compliances. Oversee health and safety investigations.

What would you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Financial and business acumen, with the ability to set and interpret business metrics and performance
  • Plans and oversees strategic, operational, and administrative programs, projects.
  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Advanced analytical, evaluative, and objective critical thinking skills.
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours to meet business demands.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or with Indigenous Economic Departments is considered an asset.
  • Experience in building strong and successful teams.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPP/PSP Designation would be an asset
  • Risk Management Certification is an asset
  • Experience in security management in a critical infrastructure environment is an asset
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry is an asset
