Coast Tsimshian Security - A Securiguard Joint Venture is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to lead a team of Security Professionals in Prince Rupert

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of the site security professionals and serves as a vital link between the site security team, Securiguard management and site operations.

The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:

• Team player
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills including professionalism, courtesy, flexibility, tact, and diplomacy.
• Strong communicator who can effectively engage with the client, client employees, visitors, and unionized personnel and the security workforce
• Demonstrated ability to train others based on operating procedures. Manage and lead personnel in a team-oriented environment with a sound knowledge of access control functions, basic investigative techniques, physical security, disaster preparedness, etc.
• Excellent analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and effective listening skills
• Demonstrated skills and abilities in providing a consistently elevated level of customer service.
• Ability to advise and support security personnel in situations where they are dealing with difficult, unpredictable persons and situations.
• Strong work ethic, sense of responsibility, ownership, and the ability to motivate staff.
• Demonstrated proficiency with software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership in the provision of safety and security services

• Demonstrated attributes in supervision, decision making, organizing, problem solving, analytical skills and tolerance are required

Requirements:

• Valid BC Security License
• 6-12 months Supervisory Experience is considered an asset
• Port Pass and TSC clearance
• Class 5 Drivers License
• WHMIS
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 or 2 would be considered an asset
