Exciting opportunity in our Surrey branch to support our Oil & Gas/Pipeline contracts.

The Operations Coordinator will bring experience in scheduling, operations, and administration, and will have advanced Excel skills. This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your scheduling and operations career and to gain experience working on a high-profile infrastructure project.

What will you do:

  • Schedule hourly staff taking into consideration seniority, site requirements, vacation/leave requests, etc.
  • Manage employees to ensure labor standards are being followed by managing all pay rates and overtime for hourly
  • Work closely with site supervisors/managers for staffing, uniforms, certification, and supplies required for site
  • Manage and oversee hourly employee information changes and general communications
  • Be the first point of contact and responsible for all admin tasks and employee requests in a unionized environment
  • Responsible for all deliverable reporting and data for Oil & Gas/Pipeline contracts
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all clients, security professionals, prospective clients, and Securiguard representatives
  • Coordinate site-specific training and certifications for our security professionals
  • Responsible for completing safety documentation, office audit, site audits, and employee audits
  • Administer and submit all relevant security clearance paperwork in a timely manner
  • Other tasks/assignments as required by the supervisor

What will you bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in administration; operations coordination; or scheduling
  • An asset if you have a post-secondary diploma or degree in business administration, human resources, or other related fields
  • Bonus points for experience in a unionized environment and/or the Oil & Gas sector
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize information in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in report writing and advanced Excel skills
