Securiguard currently has a great opportunity in the Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and Coquitlam area for full-time employment in the oil and gas sector! This is a chance to be a part of a unique and exciting project!

Job Summary:

A Securiguard Shift Supervisor is responsible for:

  • Maintaining the efficiencies, professionalism and deportment of security officers at all sites. Ensuring that personal site knowledge maintenance, officer evaluation, mentoring, training and communication is conducted efficiently and professionally in a 24/7 environment.
  • Liaises with Operations Manager to ensure site specific requirements are maintained, site adjustments/changes are promptly implemented, and site officer performance meets or exceeds client expectations. Frequent liaison, co-ordination and communication is also necessary to ensure proper site coverage and incident/emergency response integrity.
  • Ensures that all Security Professionals are in adherence to Securiguard core Values, Vision and Mission

Location: Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and Coquitlam

Hours of work: 12-hour shifts, 4 days on 4 days off

Job Requirements: 

  • Coach, train and evaluate Security Officer presence and performance perform scheduled Quality Assurance Audits (QAAs) on Security Officers.
  • Frequent communication and coordination to ensure proper site coverage and incident/emergency response integrity.
  • Act as liaison between Operations Managers and Clients on occasion.
  • Respond to emergency or urgent site situations, evaluate and recommend or initiate appropriate action such as communication escalation protocol, secure sites as necessary, liaise/coordinate with applicable site officials, ensure that post orders are adhered to and confirm/ensure the safety of Securiguard personnel and our Clients.
  • Submit daily Shift Summaries in a concise, yet detailed, time specific format.
  • Submit Operations Reports, Incident Reports and Investigation Reports.
  • Attend on-site operations and safety meetings.

Candidate Requirements: 

  • Valid BC Security License
  • Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving abstract and claims history
  • Must have a vehicle to travel to and from the job site
  • Must be able to pass drug and alcohol test 
  • Must be able to pass a low intensity strength and mobility test
  • Experience in a Supervisory role is considered an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with diplomacy and sensitivity
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability and use of judgement
  • Computer literacy and proficiency including CCTV knowledge and experience
