We are currently looking for a Field Support member to join our team. This is a full-time position that reports to our Nanaimo/ Victoria Office. This position is a combination assisting overall operations of both static and mobile divisions as well as conducting scheduling & payroll administrative tasks. 

Job Requirements:

  • Conducts unannounced post inspections to investigate complaints, ensure proper attendance, appearance, report keeping and vehicle operation
  • Conduct scheduled site visits to coach, train and evaluate Security Officer presence, performance, deportment, and adherence to Post Orders
  • Perform 1 scheduled Quality Assurance Audit (QAA) per shift on Security Officers
  • Comprehends, applies and documents positive reinforcement, coaching, ensure progressive discipline as appropriate
  • Verifies assigned duties and rules of conduct are being followed
  • Acts as operations manager's representative outside of normal business hours
  • Respond to emergency or urgent site situations, evaluate and recommend or initiate appropriate action, secure sites as necessary, liaise/co-ordinate with applicable law, fire, medical or site officials, ensure that post orders are adhered to and confirm/ensure the safety of Securiguard personnel and our clients
  • Safeguards confidential phone lists, schedules, keys, access control and credit cards, and other equipment
  • Provides regular on-gongtraining for security officers in post, operational and safety topics
  • Meets with branch management and client representatives to review status and address perceived problems
  • When necessary, filling in for vacant posts to ensure contracted coverage is provided
  • Provide mobile alarm and patrol services as required
  • Provides support during account start-up
  • Provides input to security planning, assessments, site surveys, and loss reports. May be assigned to write and revise post orders and communicate to all parties. Trains officers on post orders.
  • Communicates and coordinates with responsible branch staff regarding scheduling, staffing, equipment, record keeping and related matters
  • Assist with general recruiting, HR, administrative and OH&S functions
  • Maintain consistent management practices that promote low turnover, non-billable overtime and excellent service to our customer
  • Maintain a proper and sustained documentation process of all disciplinary actions, incidents and overall daily activity
  • Any additional tasks as prescribed by operations manager

Requirements: 

  • Valid BC Security License
  • Minimum 6 months security experience
  • Must have a Class 5 Driver's License and a Clean Abstract
  • Must be able to work 12hr shifts 
  • Must be able to work overnights

Availability:

  • Candidate must have 24/7 availability to be able to accommodate a multitude of shifts
